ACTIVITIES IN CAMP AND ON THE GROUNDS OF AIRVENTURE

A week at AEB is a comfortable mix of camp life, volunteer hours, and time to explore the grounds of AirVenture. We are proud of our Aviation Explorers and Advisors and the work they do to provide quality and reliability in their volunteer work for EAA. But, it's not all work and no play - there is plenty of free time everyday to enjoy all AirVenture has to offer!

EXPLORE

AVIATION EXPLORATION BASE

The AEB is your home for the week. We gather in the big tent for meals and relaxation. We serve three meals a day, plus cold drinks and coffee are available all day. Use the mobile home if you need to escape the heat. Please respect other people's property, and clean up after yourself.

AEROEDUCATE CENTER

EAA's AeroEducate Center offers events for youth and adults (teachers) throughout the week. They have hands-on and virtual activities, plus speakers and demonstrations. The AeroEducate Center is a short walk from the AEB. You'll find their schedule on the AirVenture website.

FORUMS AND VENDORS

EAA offers multiple forums daily, from detailed mechanical aspects of aviation to  general interest. Vendors range from aircraft manufacturers to avionics to universities - plus a whole host of other aviation-related businesses. EAA offers a vendor list on their website.

AIRSHOWS

EAA runs airshows in the afternoons. In camp, the side deck of the kitchen offers a nice view of the aerial acts but head down to the flight line for the best seats. We are allowed to sit in the Homebuilt viewing area as long as we wear our orange vests and clean up the area before we leave.
